Welcome to Salt Lake! At Hannah's home, you can choose to rent out one or two bedrooms, or have the whole house to yourself.

Spring in Salt Lake City can be delightfully balmy, perfect for front porch swinging.

There's also a healthy ski collection - world-renowned powder (Alta, Snowbird, Brighton, Solitude, Park City) is less than an hour away, door-to-slope.

The kitchen has seating for four and gets lots of lovely light.

Hannah's library was custom-built by a friend and talented woodworker who happens to live just down the street. I think we can all agree that the best part is the sliding ladder.

The library is a treasure trove for all ages.

She's pretty modest about it, but Hannah's full-time gig is in Antarctica, where she guides and occasionally sets world records.

Downstairs is the first of three bedrooms. This room will include an en suite bathroom, currently under construction and due to be finished by fall of 2015.

The bath upstairs has been fully remodeled, and includes both a deep clawfoot tub and walk-in shower.

Last but not least, the third bedroom includes a twin bed with a pull-out trundle.

As with most of Hannah's home, books and art are ever-present.

Just off the kitchen is the back deck, and beyond that, the garden.

Hannah's backyard is a focal point for friends and family gatherings - as a guest, you're welcome to share in it!

Hannah's home is located in a neighborhood known for its friendliness and sense of community.

Music nights on the back deck are common.

Who doesn't love gathering around a fire?

Backyard gatherings of friends and neighbors happen often.

A block away is the local coffee shop, Coffee Noir. Once an abandoned storefront, it is now an anchor of the neighborhood, with friendly baristas, great snacks and drinks, and free wifi.

Three blocks away is the University of Utah.

The Pie is a neighborhood pizza-and-beer staple.

For diner breakfasts or Friday night old-time music, head up the hill to Big Ed's, another neighborhood classic.

The University neighborhood includes the 13th St. Market, selling local coffee, produce, and other staples, and is just three blocks away from Hannah's home. Within a mile from Hannah's house are two large grocery stores and a Trader

The foothills are close at hand, with miles of dog-friendly trails for hiking and biking.

If you're arriving by car, Hannah's beloved Bronco, Bertha, might be in the driveway, but there's plenty of easy on-street parking.

Speaking of driving, if you're coming to Salt Lake by car, consider a side trip down to the red rock desert of southern Utah.  Several state and national parks (Arches, Canyonlands, Bryce, and Zion, among others) are only 4-5 hours aw
